Banana cat – extracted from the infinite scroll and given somewhere to actually exist. The original meme floats in blank digital space. This version has floral wallpaper and several hundred hours of hand stitching.

The needlepoint grid mirrors the pixel grid of the screen. Both build images one unit at a time. The difference is labour: what a screen renders in milliseconds, the needle builds over weeks.

This is the first completed work in the Internet Feelings series – a body of work translating viral internet cat imagery into labour-intensive textile objects.

Framed in a contemporary wooden frame with AR70 anti-reflective, UV-resistant art glass.
