Description
There’s something wrong with the cat. That was kinda the point.
cat (corrupted) is a hand-embroidered needlepoint sampler made using traditional counted stitch techniques – approximately 35 hours of work, one stitch at a time, in deliberate service of a deliberately glitched image.
The face is familiar. Something in the rendering isn’t quite right. The digital and the handmade are both doing their job.
Set against a bold yellow ground, this piece sits within an ongoing body of work exploring what happens when internet culture gets slowed down, made physical, and stitched into being.
One original. Framed behind anti-glare art glass ready to hang.
Dimensions: approximately 15.5 x 14 inch / 400 x 355 mm (framed)
